SPARE PARTS LOGISTICS SOLUTION

This client called on the services of ISAC Consulting when a joint venture led to organisational changes and a corresponding increase in the movement of goods. Business processes were harmonised and a number of different ERP systems were also migrated to a single SAP platform.

Designing a new SAP spare parts logistics solution

By transferring existing master data and business processes to SAP from the systems that had been used previously, it became possible to relocate warehouses to Germany from abroad. The aim of this procedure was to centralise goods and value flows.

This ensured that shared service centres could be established and utilised and that outsourcing models could be implemented successfully from the point of view of service providers, clients and employees.

IT project management, evaluation, deployment, support

As part of this international project, ISAC was responsible for the following IT tasks:

• Redesign of processes and data flows to incorporate best practice
• Introduction of SAP, WebSphere, LES, Xelus and other applications in order to meet all the client's needs in terms of spare parts logistics
• Support in making organisational and functional changes
• Integration of external providers into a single procedure via various networks and infrastructures
• Clean-up and transferral of master and application data from the old systems
